Volunteer Searches Temporarily Suspended

Update 6/10/12: Volunteer searches have been temporarily suspended until there is new evidence. Please continue to support the search in other ways listed on this site.

Even though official search parties have been suspended, you can still search your own area, your neighborhood, and property where you live. If you own property anywhere, please take the time to go and search it! Remember to be safe: Do not go alone, and tell someone where you will be.

If the need arises for more volunteer foot searches, we will need plenty of footsoldiers to help. Also needed are volunteers with ATVs and boats. Stop by the volunteer headquarters to sign up to be contacted if volunteer searches resume.

Review Your Surveillance Cameras

If your home or business has surveillance cameras, please review review the recordings, especially between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and daylight on Saturday, May 19. Even if you do not live on the route we think Mickey would have taken, we really have no way of knowing what route she actually took. She could have gone anywhere! She’s an avid cyclist, in great shape, and she would have had no trouble going several miles out of her way if she thought she was being followed or any other unforeseen circumstances. If you know anyone who has a security camera at their home, please urge them to review the footage as well. If you do not have time to look it over, please bring it to the police and they will review it for you.

If you have any information, please call the police tips line at 337-291-8633 or contact Private Investigator John Abdella at 337-235-0270. You can also email findmickeyshunick@yahoo.com.
